OWH/ODBD Monthly Challenge
How did it get to be March? These last two weeks it has snowed almost every day. We probably had about 14″ all said and (I hope) done, though they are calling for more on Tuesday. It’s beautiful but I am ready for spring. I’ll have to make do with spring cards I guess.
The monthly challenge posted yesterday from Our Daily Bread Designs called for scallops on our cards. If OWHers make 50 cards in response to the challenge then ODBD pays for two boxes of cards to be shipped to our deployed troops to use in writing home to their loved ones.
Making cards to donate to Operation Write Home is one little thing I can do to help our military families stay strong. I liked this quote received by OWH this week.
“My husband is currently deployed and sends notes weekly from Operation Write Home. I just wanted to send a thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there making these beautiful note cards our family receives. We have four children and my husband enjoys picking out special cards that he thinks each of us will enjoy. Thank you so much for the loving touches that are put into each card…we love them!” –KW

Beautiful cards, I love the richness of the papers you chose, especially pairing it with brown. Our male troops will especially love them! TFS.
I love all the pinks, oranges and greens of your cards. I may need to borrow this deisgn.
