I’m in Love with Glue
True. It’s a long story that begins with Project Life, which led to Ali Edwards blog, which led to One Little Word and has now progressed to the She Art Workshop. These four things are all phenomenal. And brought about my love for glue–Mod Podge to be exact. I signed up for Christy Tomlinson’s She Art Workshop 1 and while I waited for my password I made this plaque. My One Little Word for 2013 is kindness. I thought this quote was great and really liked this writing style based on a Pinterest journaling post. So I penned it, stained it, glued it, glittered it, painted it, tore it, papered it… What DID I do before the Internet?!! I am just about done with my first She Art Girl from the workshop. It was super fun! I’ll be posting her next.
I also discovered art journaling along the way.
Found this great tiny charm for my One Little Word too. I wear it on my work ID lanyard.

Wonderful post. Just wanted to let you know that I don’t often comment on blogs, but have to tell you how inspiring yours is to me.
Thank you! That makes my day
It’s great! I’m a little bit crazy over silhouettes and I love he way you’ve incorporated the girl with balloon into all that color.
Paper and glue are my favorite media also. And threads if I can use glue but not if knitting or sewing is involved. Love the mixed media potential. You are tempting me with this class but I already have too many other unfinished projects/ideas.(A fact you might have noticed about me.)
This is the one I did while waiting for my password. Wait until you see the one I did in the class. Must. Sign. Up.
I am eager to see it Yolanda. And you know, you and this blog title might have inspired me. I was thinking today that I should make Sunday afternoons a crafty time because I do love this sort of thing and I need a creative activity that is separate from my writing.
Am home from church recuperating from upper respiratory “trauma” this morning. Am really enjoying silence and a change of pace.
I love your One Little Word piece! I can’t thank you enough for directing my to Christy Tomlinson! You have opened a whole world of art to me! I hope you have a wonderful year of living with your word!
