One Little Word 2013
The perfect dress was on Pinterest and got itself pinned right away. Trouble is, I had a hard time tracking it back to its real source. I believe the original was done by Christy Tomlinson of She Art. When I saw it I knew it would be perfect for my One Little Word journal and set about creating my own dress to illustrate this Bible passage: ”Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” (Colossians 3:12-14).
I don’t have any clue how to really do mixed media so I did what I know and used Distress markers and inks, stamps, embossing powder, Stickels, Perfect Pearl Mists, punches, tags, paper and my sewing machine. The alphabet stamps are from two sets by Lawn Fawn. It was a delight to make! And a good reminder of my One Little Word–kindness. My blue fingers are a good reminder too.

Wowza! This is a beautiful blend of papers, textures, and colors!
This is absolutely wonderful! And what a wonderful reminder to put on kindness.
Well done, Yolanda! This looks great!
This adorable. I’m hoping to do similar things in fabric this year.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
