First Card of the New Year
It was nice to play in the OWH Sketch Challenge today and make my first batch of cards for the new year. I haven’t made any at all since before Christmas so I may need to give myself another 6×6 challenge to fill up my box a little more before I mail them to OWH next week. Here is today’s card.
I’ve been exploring a free trial version of Lightroom 4 for photo editing and cataloging. When I loaded my photos into it I discovered I had over 16,000 photos on my computer! I like how easy it is to pare down the collection in it. I’m down to 11,624
LOL! That is still a bit much. I found a terrific tutorial for it on You Tube that was a big help.

Yolanda this is a beautiful card! I like how the center flower draws the same hue out of your card backing – subtle but very noticeable also!
What lovely paper! And that little rosette is a great touch! TFS!
Love the pop of turquoise – so pretty!
How pretty… I love these colors and the pretty crochet flowers!! I told myself I was going to save some money by learning to crochet those flowers myself. Then I tried it… Several piles of knots and a lot of cuss words later, I am back to buying those flowers.
worth it!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card!!
LOL! Packages of these flowers were in the dollar rack at Michael’s.
Very pretty colors and quite romantic.
A gorgeous and elegant card Yolanda! I love that crochet flower too! Great bargain hunting.
Stunning card Yolanda. I love the subtle colors in your background paper and the crocheted flower is perfect. I also love the beautiful Ric Rac. Great card to start the New Year with. Thanks for playing!
Beautiful card, Yolanda. Love the rich brown in the floral dp, and the flower (ditto above comments); it looks like it will flatten well in the envelope. The flower looks knitted to me, tho.
SO pretty – love the pop of blue and the ric rac against that pretty background paper!
Hi Yolanda, this is a gorgeous, elegant anniversary card! Love love the color combo, especially the pop of turquoise!
