Beautiful Butterflies

Happy Sunday! Hope you have the opportunity to savor it before heading into the work week.

This week I thought you might enjoy some butterfly pics I took at the St. Louis Zoo’s butterfly house, and one from Shaw Nature Reserve. I love butterfly houses, though it is frustrating to never be fast enough to shoot a picture of a Blue Morpho with wings spread. If you live anywhere near St. Louis, Missouri,  The Butterfly House at Faust Park in Chesterfield, Missouri is a must see!  I love it when the weather is cool, since it is a constant tropical temp inside. Here is a really neat butterfly identification page.

I just happened to notice that I had a chipboard sticker of the exact butterfly that is my favorite in this album. So I had to make a card with it. The flowers are adhered with a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, which is a very useful glorified stapler. The butterfly is adhered with dimensional tape as is the sentiment strip. The ink is VersaFine Olympia Green.  The textured papers are from Colorbok.

That card is absolutely breathtaking! Just looking at it takes me to a garden memory. What a wonderful feeling. It went straight to my Pinterest page…
