OWH Blog Skip!

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Blog Skip! We’re featuring SRM Stickers. I chose the cute little tree and the Merry Christmas greeting. The color of the tree governed the design of my card. The designer paper gave it a casual country feel that called for simple hand drawn stitching to embellish the “ornaments.”  The dp made it super easy to get the stitch lines straight. Two of the ornaments are adhered using a Xyron, but the tree ornament is popped with dimensional tape to draw the eye to it. The scallop edge punch helps balance the grid paper design and the roundness of the ornaments. I like how it also balances the sentiment style with its manuscript/cursive combo.  I was wishing I had a pine branch punch or die but when I found this Michael’s green ribbon it gave me that Christmas tree feel I was after. The ribbon is adhered with Scor Tape (great stuff).

Be sure to visit the rest of the stops on today’s skip. SRM has generously donated a sheet of these stickers for each of us to give away! Leave a comment on this post before midnight Tuesday for a chance to win!
