Shadowbox for a Veteran

I finished the shadowbox I was working on earlier this week. My coworker and her family love it! Shhhh, It is for someone’s birthday. I think the secret is safe with us.

Tonight I am working on a super blinged out framed Christmas tree. Inspired by some Pinterest finds, it is made of old costume jewelry bits a friend gave me. I’ll show it to you as soon as I get it framed. It’s turning out to be gorgeous!

I have also been very interested in making pincushions lately. I found these cute vintage metal jello molds at an antique shop this past weekend and intend to transform them into pincushions. There were buckets of old zinc canning jar lids there too and for only .50 each. I have a wonderful Christmas ornament from our local Country Christmas craft sale that is a snow scene painted inside a lid like these. I have wanted to try it myself for years but didn’t have any lids.  If  it doesn’t work out, I suppose I’ll make more pincushions LOL.

Those look like tiny jello molds. I miss the country Christmas craft sale. Sigh.

Tell that co-worker of yours I say “Hello!”
