A Little Bit of Illinois and a Big Old Buffalo

Last weekend I had a great time at our church’s ladies retreat near Carlinville, Illinois. I rode with three friends and the Garmin took us by a rather picturesque route. We thoroughly enjoyed it and were completely thrilled when we happened by a small herd of fabulous buffalo!

During our free time we hoofed it into Carlinville to hunt down the Sears houses. We also happened across gorgeous homes of an earlier era (both are pictured in the slideshow). It’s a charming small town.

On the way home we stopped at two antique malls! Fun! I’ll tell you about those finds another time lest I should exhaust you from all the excitement.

Nice pictures of your trip. Those Sears houses were pretty upscale for a catalog!

I love the house pictures! I love browsing realtor.com. My dream is a big old farmhouse…ahhh someday.

I love antiquing. We really should plan a trip back to visit so we can go together.
