OWH Sketch Challenge and a Little Christmas
Here’s my card for the OWH Sketch challenge this week. My circle element was inspired by a Pinterest find. The center of the flower is made with the Martha Stewart button punch.
Yesterday I made a batch of 11 Christmas cards. The white embossed part of the stockings were leftover from the red stocking cards I made previously. I slathered them in Perfect Pearls mist to add more dimension. The black trim is from DCWV’s Glitzy Glitter stack and is gorgeous paper. The picture doesn’t even do it justice.
I saved one to make a special ornament for my baby granddaughter. The funny part is that it is not her first Christmas. Where does the time go?! I’ll cover that sentiment with another that says “Kaitlyn Christmas 2012.” *sheepish*

These are awesome! I especially love the white stocking and the “hello” card! So pretty!!!
Beautiful projects, Yolanda! Love the dahlia flower on your sketch card. Thanks for joining us in this week’s OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
Great sketch card – I like how your turned the sketch and used a flower. Very pretty!
beautiful cards! Great idea for an ornament! I love that about crafting that mistakes are easily fixed!
What handsome cards, Yolanda! The way you changed up the OWH sketch is really great.
Thanks for playing along and for all you do for Operation Write Home. Carol
Yolanda – The first card with the flower made of circles looks just like the border I am sewing on a bag for the quilt shop this week. It surprised me to see the same design on your blog

You’ve made 11 Christmas cards!!! It’s only August!!! It’s what I would call a Speeding Up Sunday!
Love the cards, especially the flower — it’s simple and gorgeous. The pink is lovely to go with this flower too — though I’m normally not a pink girl. I’ve recently bought some newspapers prints, and I love the vintage look with the newspapers.
